The Coolest Guy On The Planet

If you are "The Coolest Guy On The Planet" how would you go about proving it?

Well this is where it gets interesting... because there are a few people involved in a challenge to get that coveted number one position for that very search term.
So, it occurred to me that I might be able to demonstrate how writing and submitting an article can help you to gain lots of back links. And, I'm sure that you will appreciate that all those back links will build your link popularity and that will, over time, help your search engine ranking.

The Best Simple Software For The Busy Webmaster

Here are a few programs I can't do without. They're free, and make being a webmaster much easier.
CGI-Telnet http://www.rohitab.com/cgiscripts/cgitelnet.html
A cgi script that allows you to run commands on your server, even if your web host won't give you telnet access. Also good for getting at files generated by other scripts that are owned by user 'nobody', instead of your username. Ever tried deleting them? Well, now you can.
AXS Visitor Tracking System http://www.xav.com/
A very fine hit counter. Fairly simple to set up, if you use footer files on your site. Gives detailed information. Much better than the stats software that came with your web-hosting account.
Swap.pl
A Perl text replacer script. Handy if you're not familiar with Unix com View the rest of this article

Introduction Games Teaching Tips

What? Already?! Teachers are busy preparing for the new school year. One way to set a positive tone in the classroom is to make sure all the children know one another. Here are a few introduction games. (NOTE: Any group of people who need to make introductions can play these games.) Have fun!

1. While students are sitting on desktops or standing in a circle, the teacher tosses a ball to a student who then introduces himself and tells his favorite game or activity. He then tosses the ball to another student who repeats the procedure. Make sure each child has a turn to introduce himself. Try playing a few minutes each day so children can also name their favorite food, place to visit, musical group, TV show...whatever you want.

Google AdSense and Blogs

If you have a blog, or are thinking about starting a blog, then you are definitely going to want to read this article. It’s all about how to line your pockets with money that’s just waiting to be made without working much harder than you already are.

No only are blogs the hottest thing on the ‘net right now, but they are custom-made for Google’s AdSense program. Why? It’s simple. Blogs represent constantly changing and fresh content to Google’s search engine spiders. Feeding fresh content to those little spiders is just like tossing raw meat to a tiger. They just gobble it up. The more pages of your blog that get indexed, the more traffic you get. And the more traffic you get, the more exposure your AdSense ads get. Cats Make Great Pets If You Understand Them

Anyone wanting a new kitten should be a cat lover. Let’s face it, folks, cats are just different from dogs. Cats do not usually perform any special tricks, and they certainly do not guard your possessions while you are away. In fact, the only thing you can be guaranteed of by having a cat is that a mouse won’t last long if they creep into your home.
Cats are loved by many because of their independence. Cats have a life, so to speak. Most cats do not follow you around the home with their tongues hanging out of their mouths waiting on your attention. While they do love their owners fiercely, cats will not grovel like a dog and worship and fawn over their owners. Cats are perfectly content simply being themselves--and they do not seem to need constant reassurance, u View the rest of this article
